like if modern means today does post-modern mean in the future

because i never hear it used in what sounds like things about the future

someone explain english to me

1. wario-batali said: a better word for “modern” in terms of time is “contemporary,” because some genius in the early 1900s decided to call their art “modern” and later on some other genius decided to literally call their post-“modern” art post-modern
